Running was always a dream of mine.  Strapping on a pair of comfortable running shoes and taking off sounded like something I would like to do.  Many times I tried pursuing this fantasy only to be disappointed by pain, specifically pain from my bad ballerina knee.  Just when I had accepted a life of cardio on an elliptical machine, my friend brought me hope.  She had just started running a few months after having her third child using the Couch to 5k program.  To be honest, the app she had on her iPod looked so easy to use, I thought I’d give the running thing one last try.  That was at the beginning of the summer 2010, and I’m still running.  Since I finished the C25K program, I have been using RunKeeper to monitor my progress.  My first race will be on September 11, 2010.
